Sahasrabdi Durga Puja Committee (SDPC) was founded in the Millenium year, 2000. It is a non-profit socio-cultural organization that is committed to the promotion of the Indian culture and its values and intends to work towards facilitating integration with the local community. With this vision in mind, Sahasrabdi Durga Puja Committee (SDPC) organizes a number of socio-cultural events throughout the year. Sahasrabdi Durga Puja Committee (SDPC) had humble beginnings in the Millenium year. A bunch of Bengalis came together in Gurgaon (NCR), in 2000. Everyone had the same thought in mind: enough of feeling nostalgic about Durga Puja. Among other events, Sahasrabdi Durga Puja Committee (SDPC) celebrates Luxmi Puja, Kali Puja, Saraswati Puja, Bengali Barso Baran Utsav. To break the boredom among the members, SDPC also organizes an annual picnic for a day. This is a very popular event among the members who thoroughly enjoy the day outing with fun, frolic, and sumptuous food. Durga Puja is the biggest Bengali festival. Five, fun-filled days of festivity, gaiety, and laughter. Brimming with community spirit, our Puja has the flavor of a family puja and the feel of a Parar Puja. SDPC publishes a Souvenir, released during Durga Puja days. This Souvenir provides a platform for expression to the creative talent of the community and is distributed to all the members of SDPC. It also provides philanthropic support to various NGOs and Foundations involved in relief and humanitarian work, such as Blood Donation with the help of the Rotary Club, Cloth Distribution and Food Donation to NGOs, Monetary Donation to Relief Funds.
